Actually I was thinking about it, but my partner told me he afraids he wants treat then all the time if someone will come over, or he will assume if he is agressive he gets a treat…Since then we didn’t have any guests here. I will let you know as soon as someone will come over.

Good idea, I will contact to a dog trainer, maybe she/he can give me an answer. -

Sorry I didn’t see this earlier. I sounds like he is being protective and also scared. I don’t know why or what advice to give you unfortunately.
Have you spoken to your breeder? Maybe try calling a dog training centre to see if they can help?
I’ll post to facebook and see if anyone has overcome this issue.

Hi Dina,
So a few people have said to maybe try having guests give Popeye a treat and see how that goes? I’m no trainer though.
Let me know how you go with that.

Well I wouldn’t advise them to give the treat while he’s growling etc but he might soften up if he smells it. When he calms a bit I would give it a go as it would tell him that he gets rewarded for being calm. Best to talk to a trainer though especially if it has stopped you having people over.

Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to see him as a puppy, because I adopted him a month ago.
I saw your cutie furbaby Stelly and it’s so funny that she likes to sleep in the sun, Popeye is exactly the same! -
