It’s quite common for Boston Terrier owners to have more than one Boston and a few people have mentioned on our ‘Share Pics of Your Boston Terrier‘ board (comment on the board and you can add a pic of your BT here too) on Pinterest that they would have 10 BTs if they could.

So what is it about this breed that captivates so many people and creates such a deep passion?

Let’s see how long we can grow this list!

I laid eyes on my first Boston Terrier whilst living in a rustic cabin in Canada and was immediately smitten. I created Boston Terriers Rock for people like myself who love the unique style and character of Boston Terriers so we can connect and share our knowledge, experience and fun of our quirky Bostons. Read more about my story.

  1. Bostons are VERY enthusiastic about pleasing their masters. they LIVE for it!

  2. My BT “Razz” was an excellent swimmer. He’d jump into to pool and off he’d go!! He’d even look around to make sure everyone was watching him swim laps around the pool. :-)

  3. My boston loves to lean on people

  4. My BT Harper is honestly the best cuddler :) she snuggles better than any human I know <3

  5. My BT Shameus loves to keep me warm under the covers and makes me laugh everyday. Best dog ever

  6. Rinehulls123 says:

My boston gizmo is beyond amazing he is obsessed with rocks and dives to bottom of pool to retrieve them. He is my soul doggy,he is never leashed and learns boundaries of every yard and does not leave them. I get crowds at parks when he plays soccer with big blow up balls and plays keep away I swear he was a soccer player in a previous life, he bounces balloons off his nose as many times as he can, he dives off cliffs into water, he returns tennis balls, so no need to chase them. He opens Christmas presents with the enthusiasm of a child I could go on and on about how creepy human and amazing he is….he is ten and I will not be able to imagine life without him

  7. Angel's Mom says:

My BT Angel was a rescue who was abandoned by an elderly couple at age 3 years. She was so sad and depressed, that she would sit outside our family room and stare at us. She did this for almost an entire year, then one day just came in and jumped up on the couch and leaned on me. That was 12 years age and she is still going strong!!!!

  8. Kendall Otto says:

Bostons look you in the eye and pay attention to you. They aim to please…YOU!

  9. my BT is the best travel companion / copilot. she lives for a car ride and insist to be in the passenger seat. The smiles on from other cars passing by is priceless.

  10. unless they have done something naughty…lol

  11. Manny comes up to me and starts pawing my leg or arm to get my attention. He is so incredibly smart!…and a little lover…he gives me kisses on command…i don’t like to be licked in the mouth so since he was a baby i will say “give me a kiss” and he leans his head up to touch his nose to mine :)

  12. Bostons are incredible at entertaining themselves when you have the nerve to not give them your undivided attention, say, if you must shower or sleep. My little girl Roxy has a favorite toy that is as young as she is (9 years) and its a child’s 20″ bouncy ball. She pushes it with her nose and paws, chasing it all over the place, even bounces and tosses it in the air by biting at it, never damaging it! She will go for what seems like hours doing this! I have to tell her to stop and get water, and being the super-smart girl she is, she listens :) She has even got our new puppy Boston, Jack, to play with her. I would love to have 10 more Boston babies at least!

  13. Best thing about my Boston is that he LOVES to play hide and seek!!

  14. My granddog “Cosmo” (my son’s dog) is incredible. He is so human like its so funny. He loves to lay on my chest looking up at me with those big eyes and then will change position and cuddle up on my lap. He is awesome

  15. Nothing beats Boston Terrier snuggles! My Lexie starts in her bed at night and in the morning is lying next to me on my pillow! Love her to pieces and would not change her for the world! She will play with any dog at the dog park ( especially if they are running )

  16. Melanie says:

My Boston, Petunia, is the absolute best little girl. She is such a sweetie and loves her kitty sister. Bostons are hysterical dogs with such amazing personalities that are constantly evolving. She is 6 now (birthday is June 3rd!), and just started putting her paw up when she wants something. There’s no way I could sleep without her, because she’s my personal heater and cuddler. I swear this dog could sleep all day. So loyal when I’m not feeling well, too.

    • Melanie this sounds so familiar. My granddog Cosmo is awesome. You swear that they are part human with their facial expressions and other things they get themselves into.

  17. I love reading everyone’s BT comments and stories. We have had our baby girl, Darla, for only two months and can’t imagine life without her. She is our first BT but we are already planning our second adoption in a few months. Darla is the most human pup we’ve ever had! Everything I’ve read here is so true! Loving, funny, cuddly, smart, farty, precious, loyal, friendly, silly, playful, beautiful, and so much more. Love Bostons!

  18. I echo everything above and want to add that my Lucy girl has the most amazing smell when she sleeps. I can’t describe it but if I could, I would bottle it!!

  19. I have had my boy boston for almost 3 years now, and I never thought I could love something so much. He lights up my life! Always making me laugh, and smile when I’m sad. He has the biggest heart, and loves to be loved. He’s definitely my bestfriend, I never knew what I was missing until the day I picked him up. Ill be getting my second one next year :) beautiful animals inside and out!

  20. I love my BT Beans. He is 7 now and still loves to play fetch and tug of war. He does have issues with body odor though. If he isn’t bathed at least once a week he smells strongly of “doggie” and he does shed more than I expected…. But I wouldn’t trade him for anything!

  21. Steve Sipos says:

Have had Daisy the Wonder dog for 10 years. She is incredibly smart. Makes her bed everyday, checks the washer and dryer when her quilts are being laundered, packs her blankets for trips and drags them out when she returns, remembers almost everything. And she us generous. She donates her allowance for many good causes and signs the card Daisy the Wonder Dog. I love my Boston Terrier. Oh and she owns the back seat in her GMC pickup. She has a clubhouse back there for comfort and safety.
